Balsam (Garden Balsam) – 

1. Prefers warm, humid climate and grows well in partial to full sunlight.

2. Thrives in well-drained loamy soil enriched with compost; ideal pH 6.0–7.0.

3. Propagated directly through seeds, as balsam grows fast and transplants easily.

4. Maintain spacing of 20–30 cm between plants for good branching.

5. Add 2–3 kg FYM/compost per m² to enhance soil fertility.

6. Apply light fertilizer like NPK 10:10:10 every 20–25 days for better flowering.

7. Water regularly, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged.

8. Pinch early shoots to encourage bushy growth and more flowers.
